At Prairie Sun Psychiatry, transparency is one of the most important things we can offer to our patients. I believe mental health care works best when expectations, treatment planning, and financial policies are communicated clearly and openly.My goal is for patients to feel informed and comfortable throughout the treatment process, including understanding available services, scheduling, and fees before beginning care.
Insurance & Out-of-Network Care
Prairie Sun Psychiatry is an out-of-network practice and does not directly bill insurance companies.
When you see Dr. Bui as an out of network provider, you cover the costs of the appointment at the time of service. Upon request, you can receive a “superbill” that that can be submitted to their insurance carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement rates vary depending on your insurance plan, and I encourage patients to contact their insurance provider directly regarding out-of-network mental health benefits.

What percentage of the fee is reimbursed?
Is there a deductible?

Complimentary Phone Consultation
10 - 15 mins
A brief introductory phone call to discuss your concerns, answer questions about the practice, and determine whether Prairie Sun Psychiatry may be a good fit for your care.
Fee: Complimentary
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
60 mins
A comprehensive psychiatric assessment that includes discussion of your current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, previous treatment experiences, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals.
Treatment recommendations may include medication management, therapy-informed support, lifestyle considerations, and coordination with other members of your care team when appropriate.
Fee: $350

Follow Up Medication Management
< 30 mins
Follow-up visits focused on monitoring symptoms, medication response, side effects, brief psychotherapy, and ongoing treatment planning.
Fee: $175
Follow Up with In Depth Therapy
31 - 60 mins
Longer follow-up sessions that incorporate psychotherapy alongside medication management and ongoing treatment support.
These visits may focus on coping skills, emotional processing, stress management, relationship concerns, behavioral patterns, or other therapeutic goals in addition to medication management.
Fee: $300
Please provide at least 24 business hours’ notice for cancellations or appointment changes. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to a fee.
